New way of active
learning,new blog ,new experience…
I know that if learner
woud be part of flipped classroom ,they are less likely to become frustrated
when watching videos. This technique requires strong motivation from the
learners, otherwise they can’t be that successful or they would keep the same
level of knowledge.,I think that it might not work that much because it also
assumes every student had access to a laptop or good internet access. Last time
we were part of the flipped classroom and we were way to confused. It seems to
be a short scary movie ,as i mentioned during that class, when we had to post everything
on time,as it was required. We were asking each other for further instruction
but we couldn’t even help ourselves. It was our first time doing that very thing
which I have to admit it that it was the best class I have ever engaged myself to. And you know
what, I want to do that in every subject.
Sometimes flipped
classroom works, students move at their own pace, review what they need when they
need to. But what if some students can’t learn through screens and yeah, all it
takes for me is changing the whole plan. Students learn in different ways no
matter what as long as they are interested. Everything its up to technology,
but why not taking notes while processing…
What if I decide to record
or prerecord the lesson? This might be the best way. Every learner would have
the chance to receive the full instruction and the most considerable apart is
that they do learn. I do really think a lot about myself on how am I going to
teach my students without spending time/energy to keep them quite or even to
engage them.I really want my students to be unable to endure the wait and say :’hey
this upcoming class is going to be a exciting one !”
I would like to use
padlet, its a helpful form of learning ,and all it takes is watching a video, and
then students will be able to give their opinions collaborately. I guess its
easier for them to watch rather than reading.
What students like more
is the quiz,as gamified formative assessment activities, assign these activities
as homework, which allows the students to play the games individually. With the
help of these tools, teachers can implement a flipped classroom approach—with
students working on their own either at home or in the classroom—and provide a
more individualized learning experience for all of their students.
Its okay to not
know, but it is not okay to not try. So why not give your best for your
students???
Looking forward for the
next topic!
Alba good job . You have mentioned as well our experience as part of a flipped classroom . I totally agree that it was a difficult class to do because we were not learned to have such classes .
ReplyDeleteyeah,it was difficult but a really helpful one,bc we did everything by ourselves. thanks!
DeleteYes,I think that we should give our best for our students and try even flipping our classes. You have mentioned not only the cases when this method works, but also the aspects to consider when one wants to have a flipped classroom. That helps us to plan things carefully and apply this method in a proper way.Well done Alba!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your post. It was clear and the questions that uses attract us.
ReplyDeleteCongrats
I liked the last part when you suggested what you think for students will work better. Your own opinion based on your own experience.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing

ReplyDeleteGood point Alba! Prerecording the lesson might be a good way of wiping out all confusion by part of students.
ReplyDeleteI love your work alba, especially the suggestion to use quizes and padlets!
